The Way to St James in Navarre goes through wonderful landscapes, and the pilgrim usually remembers this part of his Way as one of the most beautiful of the whole pilgrimage.
Before arriving to Pamplona, where The Way of St James crosses its old town, walking along the Main Street (Calle Mayor) as pilgrims have done since centuries ago).

Archaeoccidens is a unique experience for professionals, students and people interested in history and archaeology. Participants will join a team of archaeologists to discover the remains of a city with 3,000 years of History, inside a privileged environment: Pamplona’s Cathedral Complex. The work will be coordinated and guided by the team of professionals, specialists in urban archaeology. The archaeological excavation, which will be complemented by extensive theoretical training, is carried out within the framework of the exhibition “Occidens: discover the origins”. Under this room’s floor, written in the soil, we find one of the most eloquent documents about Pamplona’s history.
At the end of this trip, participants will be able to read the precious document which our ancestors bequeathed us in form of soil and stone, we will discover who they were and how they forged what today we call Western civilization: who we are.
